# Fixed Big Ring Barry Gag

A Fixed Ring Barry Gag/double gag is a specialised type of mouthpiece that incorporates a fixed ring and two distinct gag mechanisms, providing a combination of unique pressure points and increased control. This design features a dual-action mouthpiece that reduces contact surface area while enhancing pressure in specific areas of the horse’s mouth. This provides heightened communication.

The Eggbutt/fixed gag mechanism provides increased leverage, giving the rider enhanced control.  

This heightened pressure can prompt quicker and more precise responses from the horse to the riders' cues.

The Barry gag mouthpiece is often employed in training or corrective contexts where precision and responsiveness are paramount. Its design aids in refining the horse’s reactions and improving overall communication between horse and rider.

Although some horses may be ridden in this all the time, it can also be used 2-3 times to help increase your horse's response before returning to a normal mouthpiece.
