Pelham Bridle Lip Strap
The Pelham Lip Strap is a crucial accessory designed for use with Pelham bits. It should be used in conjunction with either our Wide Curb Chain or Leather Curb Strap to increase the stability of the bit in the horses mouth, providing an additional level of control and stability during riding.
Made from durable leather and a stainless steel buckle, this strap attaches to the small rings around half way up the shank of the bit, sitting just above the horses lip, helping to secure the bit in place and prevent excessive movement.
The primary function of the Pelham Lip Strap is to limit the bits rotation, ensuring that the mouthpiece remains stable, allowing for enhanced communication between horse and rider, increasing responsiveness and control.
