Are you a talented polo player with big dreams? We want to aspire you to achieve a 5-goal handicap by the time you turn 21! Ainsley Saddlery is here to support your journey to excellence with our Youth Bursary Programme.

At Ainsley Saddlery, we are passionate about promoting grass roots polo in the UK and supporting the development of British players who may one day represent the international team.

The Ainsley Saddlery Youth Bursary Programme is designed to provide financial support and exclusive benefits to promising polo players who are committed to improving their game. Recipients of our bursary receive a generous package of top-quality Ainsley saddlery equipment, worth more than $22,000USD, tailored to enhance your performance on the field. From stable rugs to saddles we have you covered. 

Our Bursary programme isn’t just about providing top-quality equipment- it’s about building a partnership. When you join us, you become part of a community dedicated to excellence in horsemanship and the growth of polo in the UK.

We understand just how tough it is to succeed in polo, and how important it is to be able to reinvest all your money into horses at the start of your career. You focus on that and we will look after the rest!

As a recipient of the Ainsley Saddlery Youth Bursary, you’ll have the chance to base yourself with us in NZ for a season, providing a unique opportunity to develop your understanding of horsemanship in a world-class setting. Plus, with our ongoing support and mentorship, the sky’s the limit for your polo career.

To ensure fairness and inclusivity, applicants are carefully selected based on the following criteria:

• Achievement of 5 goals by their 21^st Birthday
• Residency in the UK
• Active participation in grass roots polo within the UK
• Attendance at a UK school
• Showcase a commitment to the sport within the UK
• Ownership of horses within the UK is preferred but not mandatory
• Dual Nationality or British Citizenship may be considered on a case-by-case basis, ensuring fairness an inclusivity in the selection process
